Muro Lounge, Hexham
After it was announced Muro's was to open in Hexham in the old Argos site on Fore Street, residents were waiting in anticipation of when it would open. After passing its original opening date in August and then October, it was finally opened on November 1.

Elev8 records, Hexham
Hexham resident Matty Stokoe has opened his first business Elev8 Records UK on 16b St Mary's Chare after seeing an increase in demand on his online shop.
The 27-year-old opened the business on Saturday, July 22.
As well as running the business at the shop and online, Matty also spends his time as a Music Producer, DJ, Remixer at Statik UK, and Project Musician at Sage Gateshead.

French & Wilder, Hexham
French & Wilder, owned by Nathan Wilder, opened in Hexham on November 7.
The shop is a curated 'treasure trove' of constantly changing homeware and fashion items that marries the elegance of French style with a distinctive modern twist.

Smile barber, Hexham
Ismail Eyin, originally from the Aegean area of Turkey, decided to pick Hexham to set up his own business, 'Smile Barber,' on 14 Priestpopple.
After working in the area for several years, Ismail thought it was the perfect time to open a business in Tynedale.

G Wallace Flooring , Hexham
G Wallace Flooring store has returned 50 years later to the street where it first opened in 1973, Priestpopple in Hexham.
The business, which was founded by Gordon Wallace, is now in the hands of his son, Gary Wallace and his daughters. Gary was trained by his father at the age of 20, and they became respected as specialists in the flooring trade.

Pretty Flamingo, Hexham
Pretty Flamingo, based on Market Street, opened in the existing premises of the Studio 19 hair salon on September 19.
Trish Hannant has owned Studio 19 since 2005 and officially retired from hairdressing on September 9, just before the gift shop opened.
She still owns the salon, which is open Tuesday-Saturday

Aesthetic and Beauty Clinic, Prudhoe
Zhara Waugh, 39, is from Prudhoe and opened her new salon, the Aesthetic and Beauty Clinic, on Monday, October 2 on West Wylam Drive in Prudhoe.
Zhara has been in the beauty industry for more than 20 years since she was 16 years old.
- Hexhamshire Huts, near Warden
Visitors can experience a unique stay in the new Shepherd's Hut at Hexhamshire Huts, based at Kingshaw Green, located in Warden near Hexham.
Gillian Turnbull, 37, and her husband James, 36, have lived at Kingshaw Green since 2020 when they relocated from Tynemouth for more space and to live more sustainably.

Bohemia, Hexham
Bohemia, a business selling products from Nepal and India, opened on Saturday, August 5 in Hexham.
The business opened on the premises that were previously home to the closed fair trade goods supplier, Gaia.
