A NEW salon has opened its doors to the public.
Zhara Waugh, 39, is from Prudhoe and opened her new salon, the Aesthetic and Beauty Clinic, on Monday, October 2 on West Wylam Drive in Prudhoe.
Zhara has been in the beauty industry for more than 20 years since she was 16 years old.
She will offer all beauty treatments including facials, massages, waxing and spray tans alongside aesthetic treatments such as lip fillers and skin boosters.
"I love to make people feel good about themselves and I think beauty treatments are so relaxing and good for people's mental health. The reason why I wanted my own salon was because I just wanted to put my own stamp on it and offer somewhere for people to come and relax and leave feeling good."
Zhara said the most important thing for people to know about her salon is that 'they will be made to feel welcome and will receive a high standard of customer service'.
"When I worked for Clarins and John Lewis it was a massive part of training and I just don't feel like you get that now in this industry," she said. "I want to be here to make people feel good about themselves."
