HEXHAM'S MP praised a primary school's staff for doing a 'brilliant job'.
Hexham MP Guy Opperman visited Kielder Primary School to meet headteacher Lee Ferris and speak to pupils.
The school’s most recent Ofsted inspection was rated outstanding.
The school is receiving a funding increase year-on-year of approximately £5,600 thanks to the Government’s boost in school funding.
Guy Opperman MP said: “I was delighted to visit Kielder Primary School.
"It is a fantastic school, and Mr Ferris is doing a brilliant job providing a quality education for the children.
"I particularly enjoyed speaking to the children about my role as their local MP and taking some excellent and thoughtful questions.”
