HERE are some of the activities going on in Northumberland National Park this February half-term to keep everyone entertained.
On February 19, explore nocturnal winter wildlife on short walking safari with Wild Intrigue, and discover surprising insights into how nature copes during the colder months.
Find out what you can see in the night sky in a stargazing workshop with shared equipment and instruction provided. Learn how poor lighting can affect wildlife and what you can do to reduce your impact, at the event Dark Skies and Creatures of the Night.
Join the clay team at The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre on February 21.
Create your very own Creature Plant Pot. Staff will be on hand to help make your pot from air dry clay. Take your creation home to decorate when it is finished drying – all participants will be provided with paint and a paint brush as part of the session.

On February 22, the Guided Walk at Alnham Memorial Stones is a circular route from St Michael’s church in Alnham, offering spectacular views over an historic landscape and visits two memorials to tragic events.
Knit a curlew hat on February 25 at The Sill.
The event is designed for basic knitters who want a bit of help to get going and someone to help out with the pattern.
Textile artist Louise Underwood will attend to advise.
On February 25, bring children along to enjoy the wonder of outdoor play, supported by an experienced Forest School leader in the heart of Northumberland National Park.
Each of the monthly Little Larks Forest School events will include take-away nature crafts, exploratory free play with mud kitchens, treasure hunts and adventures in the dedicated Forest School site.
