A SALON owner celebrated two years of business with a party charity fundraiser.

34-year-old Nicola Eals has reflected on the progress of Salon 25 on Westgate in Haltwhistle and the success of an anniversary charity fundraiser for Breast Cancer.

"It's been a tough start to Salon 25," Nicola said.

"I took over a well-established business in the middle of the pandemic, which was always risky, but we have come out the other side of that now.

"I honestly could not do it without the most amazing team of girls behind me. They have, and we say it all the time, the most amazing clients.

"We decided to run an afternoon tea fundraiser alongside celebrating our second anniversary to raise money for breast cancer.

"I think everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer so when GHD launched their limited edition "take control now" range this year, we thought it would be a fab idea to help support this charity.

"We all chipped in, baked a whole load of cakes and treats, made up plates of afternoon teas for our clients to buy.

"We also ran a raffle to win a GHD hairdryer worth £180.

"All together, we raised over £1000, which is way more than we ever expected to raise!

"Would also like to thank Frankie Parker of adorn events in Haltwhistle for the amazing balloons and also donating a £25 voucher as a prize."
