It was the second time NEAS asked for NNPMRT help that day, as at 3pm near Thrunton they were asked to help a casualty whose car had left the road.
A spokesperson for the team said: "Due to the location being some distance from a main road, Mountain Rescue were asked to respond.
"Shortly after the request was received, a NEAS crew arrived on scene and confirmed that no additional assistance was required and the individual concerned was safe.
"The incident involved five team members for eight minutes."
