NO evidence was found against a man accused of driving while unfit through drugs.

Iain Andrew Gowans, of North Road, Hexham, was accused of driving while unfit through drugs while on the A69 at Haydon Bridge and of driving without due care, on September 28 2019.

He pleaded not guilty to driving while unfit through drugs and admitted to the charge of driving without due care and attention.

The case was heard on July 15, 2021 at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court.

The first charge, driving unfit through drugs, was dismissed with no evidence.

For the second charge, driving without due care and attention, the defendant was given a fine and a driving ban for 28 days.
