A YOUNG driver has denied being unfit through drugs while behind the wheel.
Iain Andrew Gowans (19), of North Road, Hexham, pleaded not guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday to the charge.
Gowans is accused of driving on the A69 at Haydon Bridge on September 28 last year whilst unfit through drugs. He admitted to a charge of driving without due care and attention.
He will appear at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court for the trial on February 10.
