Take a break from the hustle and bustle of festive preparations to join the National Trust team at Wallington Hall to make a beautiful Christmas decoration to take home.

The historic house, walled gardens and woodland walks at Cambo, near Morpeth, are popular with visitors all year round.

And there’s still time to book a place to take part in the Christmas craft-making workshop in the house which is happening on Friday, December 20.

Choose between creating a Christmas wreath from ribbon or have a go at book folding to make a Christmas tree.

Visitors can also take a stroll around the house, decked in its Christmas finery and soak up the festive atmosphere, with Christmas music to enjoy in the central hall, stories with Mrs Christmas in the library, and Christmas mice to look out for on a Christmas trail.
