PREPARE for a night of mischief and magic as The Great Magician of the North pays a visit to Hexham.

Coming to the Queen’s Hall theatre on Sunday, November 10 is the multi-award winning Chris Cross, who has taken his magic acts and escapology stunts all over the world for the past two decades, entertaining audiences in New York, Bahrain, Dubai, London, Paris and Bangkok.

Just some of the famous faces who Chris has performed for have included: Joe Lycett, Boy George, Alice Cooper and he’s shared a stage with David Blane.

Designed to entertain the whole family, the show blends a mix of modern sleight of hand tricks with traditional stunts, all tied together with Chris’ stand-up comedy. Some magic fans might also recognise some of Chris's tricks as those passed on by his hero, the late Paul Daniels.

Taking to the stage as Chris’s special guest support act will be 84-year-old North-East comedy legend Bobby Pattinson, who came out of retirement two years ago.

“This will be my first solo tour, and its to mark practising 20 years of magic,” Chris said. “I have permission from Paul’s family to perform a selection of his tricks, which is a real honour considering he was such a inspiration to me."
