HOLLYWOOD A-lister Joaquin Phoenix is currently earning rave reviews for his star role in the latest The Joker movie.

But it’s a comedian from Manchester who is hoping to please fans across Britain as he extends his popular Northern Joker tour.

Due to demand, Justin Moorhouse has added dates to his UK schedule and he will bring his brand of humour to Hexham when he performs at the Queen’s Hall on Wednesday, November 13 evening.

Moorhouse’s face, when it’s not made up to look like Batman’s nemesis The Joker, will be recognisable to people across the country.

From starring as Young Kenny with tiger face paint in Phoenix Nights, he has appeared in Ken Loach’s film Looking For Eric as well as featuring on Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled.

Northern Joker will start at 8pm.
