‘When did you stop dancing?’ asks a touching comedy coming to the Tyne Valley.

The show, coming to Hexham Library in the town’s Queen’s Hall on Wednesday, November 6, is about friendship and loneliness, and asks why, in a climate of a mental health crisis, that people have stopped dancing.

Katy Taylor, the artistic director at Queen’s Hall, said: “When Did You Stop Dancing? is a beautifully constructed performance exploring contemporary ideas about women’s voices and mental health – but it’s much more than that.

“Through a true story from 1518, the audience is taken on a journey to explore ideas which are just as relevant today leading us through outrage, sadness and laughter.

“This is a thoroughly engaging performance which feels like a fable for our time.”

The show will be performed by What A Little Bird Told Me Theatre.
