HUMSHAUGH is set to be taken over by tractors this weekend for the village’s annual tractor day

Gathering outside The Crown Inn pub on Sunday, October 20, the event, which started two years ago, has become one of the village’s most popular events of the year.

Publican David Harding, who also organises car shows at the pub, said: “Everyone comes out in force and we must have around 25 to 30 tractors at a time, which always goes down well with young children.”

Since the show started, the village has seen people travel from all across the North-East to take part in the fun.

The pub has obtained a large pumpkin from the Harrogate Flower Show for its ‘guess the weight’ competition.

Live music will come from Emily Sarah from 2pm and Gareth Beddard from 4pm.

The event will also coincide with the judging of the village’s scarecrow competition.
