A VET known for his starring role on a TV series will share his experiences with a Tynedale audience.

Julian Norton is the star of Channel 5 show The Yorkshire Vet, a hit documentary series following his work in and around the Yorkshire moors and dales.

Such has been his popularity, he will tour the UK hosting ‘an evening with’ sessions with audiences, and he will stop off at Hexham’s Queen Hall on Thursday evening.

During the session, Julian, who has also represented Great Britain in triathlon, will share anecdotes of his veterinary work in North Yorkshire, with true stories brought life through the vet’s humour and dramatic speech.

The purpose of the show is to give members of the public an insight into the veterinary industry; the highs and the lows.

Julian is also a best-selling author of four books, A Yorkshire Vet Through the Seasons, Horses, Heifers and Hairy Pigs: The Life of a Yorkshire Vet, The Diary of Yorkshire Vet and On Call With A Yorkshire Vet, published in May.

The show will be compered by poet, writer and performer Kate Fox.

The show will get under way from 7.30pm. Tickets are available at the Queen’s Hall Box Office.
