CLASSIC vehicles of all shapes and sizes will roar into a new event for Northumberland.

The inaugural Northumberland Classic Vehicle Gathering will take place at Tynedale Rugby Club, in Corbridge, on Sunday from 10am until 4pm.

There will be hundreds of classic cars, motorcycles, vans, trucks and ex-military vehicles on display throughout the day.

Organiser Mark Woodward said: “We’re so looking forward to visiting historic Corbridge for the first time.

“It’s fantastic to have the opportunity to bring hundreds of stunning historic cars and vehicles to a new audience.

“Our shows are always a fun-packed day out, so bring your camera for a day crammed with classics at this well-connected venue, and enjoy a bit of vintage ‘vroom!’”

In addition to the showing of vehicles, there will be trade stands and arena displays with commentary throughout the day.

Classic car clubs will bring exhibition stands for people to come along and chat.

Ovingham-based Border Reiver Archers will be in attendance, too, and they will be encouraging visitors to try out the sport in their ‘have a go’ sessions.
