A SHOW combining Indian dance and stand-up comedy is winging its way to the Tyne Valley.

Shane Shambhu, an actor, director, choreographer and comedian, is bringing his Confessions of a Cockney Temple Dancer show to Hexham’s Trinity Methodist Church, on Beaumont Street, on Saturday evening.

The show has been performed throughout the UK and has been hailed for being a funny and honest show revealing Shane’s experiences.

Topics explored through the show include race, language, cultures and identity, and how they have shaped his life. After the show, the audiences will be invited to join Shane in the ‘Cockney Curry House’ as they will have the chance to sample some South Indian tasters as he explains how Indian food has become as popular as fish and chips.

The show will start at 7.30pm and tickets are available from the Queen’s Hall box office.
