JAZZ fans are encouraged to put on their dancing shoes this weekend as popular trio Swing Bridge perform at the Vault in Hexham.

The dynamic trio, who get their name from Newcastle’s famous bridge of the same name have become a Hexham favourite.

And the audience are in for a treat as they offer a musical blend of “grooving, moving, mainstream jazz.”

The band consists of Dan Martin on piano, Dave Parker on double bass and Peter Ninnim on drums.

With past experience in classical music as a concert pianist, Dan eased into jazz music after becoming fascinated with the melodies of the genre. Meanwhile Peter and Dave’s decades of experience in punk, dance and rock music have well equipped them for the road ahead.

Swing Bridge perform at the Vault, Hexham, on Friday, March 15 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available on the door or from Hallgate Galleries.
