THE unusual sound of Gypsy Jazz is coming to Hexham this weekend.
Bishop Auckland-based three piece Swing Manouche, who describe their music as “hard swinging gypsy jazz”, will be performing at the Vault on February 23, with the performance starting at 7pm.
The band’s usual trio of Mick Shoulder, Giles Strong, and Paul Edis will be joined by sought after violinist Daniel John Martin, also known as DJM.
Described as one of the most talented violinists of his generation and a central figure of Parisian Gypsy Jazz, DJM has joined the band for a short UK tour.
