A BIG hit in the North Tyne in years gone by, a Welsh folk band will return to the area this weekend.

Honey Fungus played the first Redefest event, in Rochester, in 2006 and returned to the same festival to play in the 10th anniversary event in 2016. They returned on numerous occasions in between.

The band are now making their way back up north in a gig planned at the Holly Bush Inn, in Greenhaugh, on Saturday. The event starts at 2.30pm.

Honey Fungus have always been well supported in the area and another warm welcome is awaiting them when they return to the Upper North Tyne.
