AN emerging folk band will treat music fans to their blend of new country and Americana this weekend.

On Friday, Mile Roses, featuring the marketing manager at Hexham’s Queen’s Hall, Simon Howarth, alongside Kate Bramley and Kari Macleod will perform at the Hearth at Horsley.

The trio are gaining a national reputation for their folk music, and are pleased to be gigging in the North-East. Simon said: “It’s great to be doing a local gig. A lot of the gigs we do are in the Midlands and the South so being able to bring the new line up to Horsley is a treat and we’re really looking forward to it.”
