FANS of the wizarding world are in for a treat as libraries across the district gear up to celebrate Harry Potter.

Harry Potter Book Night events will be taking place across the country to mark the day which takes place on Thursday, February 7.

The theme of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will give young readers and fans young and old a chance to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s series.

Libraries across Northumberland will be holding events spread out over that week, where fans can get involved in magical crafts and games, suitable for everyone over the age of eight.

Hexham Library’s event will be held on Saturday, February 2 from 2pm to 4pm, while in Haltwhistle it will take place on Monday, February 4 from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. An event at Prudhoe Library will take place on Thursday, February 7 from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
