TV personality David Harper is bringing a new theatre show to the Tyne Valley.

The well-known presenter who has appeared on hit the BBC television shows Bargain Hunt, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, Flog It, For What It’s Worth and Antiques Road Trip, will appear at Hexham’s Queen’s Hall on Friday evening.

His new show, Live and Unscripted, will see him tour venues across the country to share behind-the-scenes stories of the well-known TV shows he has appeared in, with many tales featuring celebrities.

Audience members will also have the opportunity to ask him questions and bring in items to be valued.

Mr Harper said: “This is something that is new to me. I have been giving talks to private groups, such as luncheon and rotary clubs, but this is the first time I have put on a mini-theatre tour.

“It’s very different to going to an organised talk and a bit nerve racking, but it is great to be live and unscripted as you never know what to expect. You don’t know what you’re going to end up talking about or valuing, and it’s certainly going to be very lively.”

He added: “The audience does not need to have a particular interest in antiques to enjoy this show, as subjects ranging from how to build the confidence to appear on TV, money making schemes, meeting of famous characters and humorous real life experiences from TV and the world of art and antiques are shared, and some times fabulous stories are unexpectedly shared by an audience members too.”

The show will take place on Friday and will start at 7.30pm.
