THE annual Blanchland and Hunstanworth Show will make a welcome return on Bank Holiday Monday.

The long-running show is set to draw crowds with a bumper schedule of activities planned.

There are a fantastic range of displays, events and attractions planned, including the returning vintage cars, tractors and live music, as well as a fun run taking place for the first time.

Other attractions will appeal to all ages, including an open terrier show, a scarecrow competition, children’s sports and a funfair.

Home bakers will bring their delicious delights to the industrial section, while the work of garden enthusiasts will populate the horticultural marquee.

Despite there being no poultry section this year, chairman Michael Kennedy believed the rare breed sheep would still attract hundreds of visitors.

“There are events for all ages and as long as the sun shines, it’ll be great fun,” he said.
