TYNEDALE will resume hostilities with fierce rivals Blaydon next year.

For it was confirmed at the weekend that their North-East neighbours have slipped out of National League One, their 29-24 reversal at Old Albanians on the final day of the season meaning they will join Tyne in National League Two (North).

The Crow Trees club finished second bottom in the table, and will be joined by bottom club Macclesfield in the lower division for 2017/2018.

Huddersfield and Sheffield will feature on Tynedale’s list of grounds to visit following their promotions from National Three, but Caldy have made the step up to National One as champions and Scunthorpe, Harrogate and Preston Grasshoppers have been relegate from National Two.
