For he netted two goals to see Ponteland United Reserves off to a flying start to their 2017, the visitors defeating Heaton Stannington B 3-0.
Former Ponteland United and Heddon man Scott, who was named man of the match for his new side, recently returned to Ponteland after playing for Heaton’s first team in the Northern League earlier in the season.
And he proved the match winner as the two reserves teams met in the Tyneside Amateur League, captain Darren Parkes also getting his name on the scoresheet during a generally scrappy affair.
