Former Prudhoe High School pupil Cedwyn Scott, of Stocksfield, will be offered a pro deal with Championship side Huddersfield Town after finding the back of the net on a regular basis for the Terriers’ U18 side.
Since signing for the Yorkshire’s academy in 2015, the striker has impressed and the goals have come flooding in for the enthusiastic youngster.
And his form has seen him promoted to Town’s U23 team on a full-time basis as he was one of four second year academy scholars asked to make the step up to work with the club’s professional development coach Frankie Bunn.
Scott has featured in the past four squads for Huddersfield’s U23 development squad, coming off the bench on three occasions.
He was given five minutes against Liverpool and nine against Crewe Alexandra, but was introduced as a 69th minute replacement in the draw with Leeds United.
He has seven more games to impress before the end of the season, Huddersfield looking to challenge in both the Professional Development League Two and Premier League Cup.
