WALLINGTON were more than a match for Premier Division rivals Shankhouse on Saturday.
They ran out comfortable winners 4-2, to consolidated their mid-table position.
John Meehan struck twice for the home side, with contributions also from John Laverick and Jordan Nellis.
The result meant local rivals Ponteland United were able to leapfrog Shankhouse into fourth spot in the table.
Ponteland battled hard at Percy Main to come away with a 2-1 victory.
In the First Division, Hexham revived their promotion hopes with a thrilling 4-3 win at top-of-the-table Newcastle Chemfica.
Hexham now lie only five points behind Chemfica, with a game in hand.
