PRUDHOE Social Club or Hexham Phoenix will await Haydon Bridge Anchor in the final of the Division One KO Cup.

With Phoenix already in the final four thanks to a single goal victory over Bardon Mill Bowes Lyons, Prudhoe booked their place in the semis with a 3-1 success over Barrasford.

Man of the match James Watson, Graeme Hudspith and Stefan Rainbow got their goals, with Barrasford’s reply coming from their star performer Owen Murtough.

Bardon Mill’s charge at the top has been halted lately and they slumped to a second consecutive league defeat as a hat-trick from man of the match Kurtis Harvey helped Hexham Phoenix to a 4-2 victory.

Luke Parkinson hit the other goal, with Mill’s consolations coming from Greg Irwin and Dan Oliver. Ricky Hayes was named their man of the match.

In the only other Division One match-up, Prudhoe Town hit five past Heddon St Andrew’s.

Man of the match Danny Driver, Colin Hardwick, Sam Moore, Matty Bloomer and Adrian Sutcliffe all hit the back of the net against Heddon, who had Jordan Martlew impressing.

Crawcrook Fox and Hounds continue to forge ahead at the top of Division Two as they put seven without reply past Prudhoe Town East End.

Rikki Kent led the way with a treble, with Scott Fothergill, Ben Coulson, Michael Henderson and Josh Turner also netting. Alex Redfern was named man of the match, with Jack Barker earning Prudhoe’s equivalent.

Haltwhistle Railway’s promotion challenge took another blow as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Hexhamshire.

Jack Barker and Andy Wrightson scored for Haltwhistle, best served by Stu Sproul, with Lee Riley and Josh Dodwell registering for Hexhamshire, who had man of the match goalkeeper Glen Tweddle for keeping them in it.

Ponteland Village leapfrogged Haltwhistle into second spot courtesy of their 14-0 thumping of basement boys Ponteland United Stamfordham.

Man of the match Ryan Spragg hit five, James Pattison three and Jordan O’Neill and Callum Thompson two each. Liam Rutherford and Marcus Dixon also added their names to the scoresheet.

For Stamfordham, Stuart Henderson starred.

A goal from Matthew Hopkins proved the difference for Wylam Black Bull as they defeated Division Two rivals Hexham Hearts in the Mick Simmons Trophy.

Nathan Moore was named their star man for the second week running, with Ryan Morris earning Hearts’ equivalent.
