IN Division Two of the North East Premier League, Tynedale Second XI bounced back from a heavy defeat at Chester-Le-Street the previous week with a welcome second win of the season at home to their Castle Eden counterparts.
Craig Barber (89) and Joe Barber (51) were the main contributors in their total of 293-9 declared from 52 overs, with seven other players in double figures.
In reply, Castle Eden collapsed from 129-4 to 145 all out in the 48th over, with most of the damage done by Craig Barber (6-26 off 11 overs).
In Division One, in a rain interrupted draw at Seaham Park, Tynedale opener Leo Johnson followed up last week's knock of 93 with an impressive 97 not out and he shared an unbroken fourth-wicket stand of 114 with James Rainford (57 not out) in their total of 240-3.
Seaham Park closed on 209-7 with the wickets shared by Matthew Scott (3), Olly Riley (2) and Aaron Rourke (2).
In Division One of the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League, Matfen won by two wickets at home to second-bottom Whickham with five balls to spare.
After dismissing the visitors for 243, Matfen were indebted to No.4 Abubakar Maqsood (107 from 120 balls) and No.5 Kamran Mansoor (68 from 85 balls).
In Division Two, Corbridge slipped from 88-6 to 111 all out as they suffered a fourth defeat in a row by 63 runs at Bates Cottages.
In Division Three, after being put in to bat by Hexham Leazes, visitors Allendale closed on 237-9 from 47 overs with the main contributions coming from Kullim Caldwell (55), John Welch (39), Jake Reed (38 not out) and Geoff Sparke (31).
The hosts then collapsed from 92-2 to 111 all out, with the pick of the bowlers being Glen Tweddle (4-25 off 8 overs).
In Division Four South, Haltwhistle bowler Alfie Dodd produced the star performance of the weekend with career-best figures of 8-17 off nine overs as visitors Ryton Second XI were dismissed for a paltry 63 after being 43-4 at one stage.
Dale Leadbitter (24 not out) and Callum Snowdon (24 not out) then guided Haltwhistle to victory after only 13 overs with eight wickets in hand.
In Division Five South, Annfield Plain and Greenside continue to set the pace at the top of the table after both recorded their sixth wins of the season.
Connor Ward (50 not out) and Dan Foster (45 not out) were in great form for Greenside for the second week in a row as they eased past Newcastle Super Kings' total of 124-8 in the 16th over with eight wickets in hand.
Corbridge collapsed from 61-4 to 94 all out at home to Matfen, with Andrew Payne and Tony Gilchrist both taking three wickets.
In reply, Andy Snowdon (32), Hashir Khan (27) and Amin Ul Faisal (24 not out) ensured an early finish as Matfen knocked off the required runs in only 14.4 overs with seven wickets in hand.
Stamfordham are 21 points behind second-placed Greenside following their latest win by five wickets at home to Humshaugh.
Having been 118-3 at one stage, more than half of Humshaugh's total of 148 all out came from Jack Garrett (53) and Hedley Renton (27).
The hosts were then indebted to opener Ciaran Murphy (66) as they got across the line with more than 10 overs to spare.
