ENGLAND have beaten Germany 2-0 to reach the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.

At Wembley Stadium tonight, Raheem Stirling and Harry Kane both scored in the second-half.

It is England's first win over Germany in a knockout tournament since 1966.

The Three Lions will now play against Sweden or Ukraine in Rome this Saturday.

Many fans are now celebrating, with 'football's coming home' echoing around Tynedale pubs.

Ross Symington, who watched the game at the Globe Inn, Hexham, said he is feeling "on top of the world" after the game.

"It's unbelievable," he said.

"It's coming home!"
