Rob Howarth hit 118 as Wylam sealed a six wicket win over Belsay in Division One of the West Tyne Cricket League last weekend. 

Howarth’s score was added to further by a 79 from captain Joe Harms as the home side set a score of 238/4, with Rory Young also starring after taking four wickets.

Mitford kept up their position as one of the league's frontrunners with a comfortable eight wicket win over South Northumberland. 

After bowling the away side out for 89 - including four wickets for Patrick Ford-Hutchinson - Mitford comfortably met their target and only dropped two wickets. Captain Kieran Mole top scored with 35, while Joss Parker also hit 34 on the way to the win.

League leaders Stamfordham defeated Haydon Bridge by four wickets while Humshaugh beat Matfen by five wickets.

After bowling their opponents out for 87 including four wickets for Luke Parkinson, Humshaugh comfortably met their target with Chris Heslop top scoring with 46.

Haltwhistle saw Rob Graham impress with the ball as they went on to defeat Benwell Hill by five wickets. The bowler took four wickets before the home side went on to meet their target of 122. Newton also defeated Hexham Leazes by 75 runs.

In Division Two, Mitford 2nds continued their fine form and beat Clara Vale 2nds by seven wickets to remain top of the league. 
Both Stuart Arkle and Craig Mole each took three wickets as they bowled the home side out for 72 with the side going on to comfortably meet their run target.

Second placed Haltwhistle also cruised to victory with an eight wicket win over Wark, while Stocksfield 4ths won twice in two days with victories over Mitford 3rds and Hexham Leazes 2nds. 

Medomsley's captain Jordan Bell hit 104 as they took a seven wicket win over Allendale 2nds.
