Ponteland secured a 105 run win over Lintz to continue their position as league leaders in Division Two of the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League.

The hosts, who saw Benjamin O'Brien top score for the side on Saturday after hitting 83, had set their opponents 207 to win, but managed to bowl them out for just 101.

Both O'Brien and teammate David Waters also starred with the ball and took three wickets each to help the side to victory. 

In Division One, Tynedale were also big winners as they travelled to Leadgate. 

After captain Thomas Cant hit 108 and Dan Parker scored 57, the away side eventually set a score of 284/4, with their opponents only managing a response of 75 all out.

Cant also helped himself to two wickets along with Nathan Byerley and Sam Peter who both got three as Tynedale took a comfortable win. 

Stocksfield travelled to Swalwell, but the home side were too strong and they ended up claiming an 185 run win, with John Meadows starring with a score of 141.

Division Three saw Corbridge claim a seven wicket win over Stocksfield 2nds with Matthew Thompson helping his side to victory after hitting 48.
The visitors comfortably met their target of 133 and only dropped three wickets on their way to the win.

Allendale meanwhile lost out to Ashington Rugby by six wickets after their opponents cruised to their target of111.
Both sides in the region took wins in Division Four, with Ponteland 2nds in particular impressing.

The side defeated Seaton Burn 2nds by 127 runs with captain Jai Punia scoring 72, while Tynedale 2nds secured a 53 run win over Civil Service.
Riding Mill were beaten by 96 runs by GEMS in Division Five South, while Corbridge 2nds were beaten by Kirkley 2nds by five wickets in Division Six South.

Stocksfield 3rds also lost out to Lions by two wickets.
