As excitement reaches a fever pitch for this year’s European Championships, we decided to take a look back at some of the region’s international tournaments, football teams, and visits from Euro tournament heroes - both players and managers.
Fans missed out on a big championship last season due to the Coronavirus pandemic but this year, they will be able to choose between watching on TV or at their local pub.
The European Championships start on Friday night with Turkey vs Italy.
England play their first game on Sunday, June 13 against Croatia at Wembley and many fans are hopeful that under Gareth Southgate this could finally be the year England win a major tournament.
The final is on July 11, also at Wembley Stadium.
