Last weekend saw several Cumbrian teams and drivers compete on the opening round of the British Rally Championship at Oulton Park in Cheshire.
The event, which also doubled up as a round of the MSN Circuit Rally Championship, saw drivers including Penrith-born Frank Bird and teams including Cockermouth-based M-Sport Ford compete in glorious sunshine.
M-Sport saw one of their drivers – British Championship returnee Rhys Yates – finish the event second overall and just one second behind winner Sam Moffett.
Below are just a few examples of photos from the event on Bank Holiday Monday.

Rhys Yates took second on the event in another M-Sport Fiesta.
The event used both the race circuit and parts of the surrounding service roads to make up the stages.
The warm weather meant plenty of dust was kicked up!
Yates ended the rally just a second behind rally winner Sam Moffett.
Perez's car had one of the brightest liveries on the event!
