Riding Mill secured a narrow 2-1 win over Crawcrook Fox & Hounds with a late winner in the Hexham and District Sunday League.

The side, who are still in mathematical contention to claim the Division One title, hit the woodwork four times throughout the match, but a James Reay strike in the last minute of the game saw them claim a tight victory.

After Paul Britten had earlier got on the scoresheet for the home side, the game was level before a screamer from Reay gave Riding Mill the win. Man of the Match for them went to Dale Graham.

Elsewhere, Haltwhistle Railway took four points in three days after a win against Heddon FC was followed up by a 1-1 draw with Wark on Tuesday evening.

In both games, Norman Calvert found the back of the net, with the Railway going on to beat Heddon by a scoreline of 4-1 while they also drew 1-1 with Wark.

Prudhoe Halfway House played out a five goal thriller on Sunday morning against Haydon Bridge Social Club, with Tom Stokoe, Ste Forster and Aaron Fletcher all getting on the scoresheet while Josh Mottram was named MOTM for the side.

Haydon Bridge meanwhile saw Aaron Hardy and Joel Pearson score, with Pearson also being named their MOTM while a Matty Kilby strike was enough to give Hexham Phoenix a 1-0 win over Wark on Sunday. Gav Hunter was named their MOTM.

In Division Two, Up The Street secured a 5-2 win over FC Ryton with Simon Reed, James Inness, Liam Thear, Dan Ranson and Callum Carter all scoring.

The result means that if they manage to win their game against Barrasford, they will claim the Division Two title.

Their upcoming opponents meanwhile saw Marc Nixon hit a hat trick and both Jamie Noutch and Kevin Brown score too as they defeated Heddon Reserves 5-4, with Nixon also being named their MOTM. Michelangelos also played out a 1-1 draw with Halfway House United.
