Bardon Mill Bowes Lyons continued their fine form with a 4-0 win over Crawcrook Fox & Hounds in Division One of the Hexham & District Sunday League.

Following on from their thumping of Haydon Bridge Social Club the weekend previously, the side again had Rob Hayes amongst their scorers in a further big win.

Another goalscorer from the week previously - Reece Thirtle - continued his return from injury in good form after being named man of the match.

Elsewhere in Division One, Prudhoe Halfway House also performed well and defeated Wark FC 5-2. Goals from Grant Raynor, Brad Rogers, David Wansell, Brandon Smith and Scott Johnson saw the side take the points, with Josh Mottram being given the MOTM award.

A goal from James Reay helped Riding Mill secure a point away at Haydon Bridge, with the game ending 1-1 after the away side had chances to take the win.

In Division Two, two goals from Kelvin Thear helped Up The Street continue their winning form, with the home side beating Michelangelos FC 2-1. MOTM was given to Dan Armstrong.

Hexhamshire were another team to continue their fine form and put four goals past Barrasford in a 2-4 win

Halfway House United hit five goals away to Heddon United U23’s with James Watson, Steven Henderson, Nathan Moore and Sam Mannion all amongst the scorers.

Heddon Utd Reserves also suffered defeat after going down 4-2 to FC Ryton.

A brace from James Stokoe and a striker from Lewis Loughhead secured Hexham Phoenix FC a place in the semi-finals of the NFA Sunday Cup after a 3-0 win over Haltwhistle Railway.

The result means the side will now play Burradon New Fordley FC in the semi-finals of the tournament after they got the better of their Division One rivals.
