The West Tyne Cricket League is gearing up for a return to action this weekend, with a total of 11 games scheduled to take place.

On Saturday in Division One, reigning champions Haydon Bridge get their title defence underway with an away game against Mitford, while Belsay face off against Hexham Leazes.

Haltwhistle are at home to Humshaugh, Wylam play Stamfordham, and South Northumberland 1864 play Matfen Hall at their new home at Greenside Cricket Club.

In Division Two, Humshaugh Seconds face Haltwhistle Seconds and Allendale host Mitford 2.

Stocksfield Fourths play Medomsley, while Newcomers Riding Mill face Clara Vale and Hexham Leazes play Mitford 3, with Sunday’s sole game seeing Benwell Hill face Newton at Benwell Hill Cricket Club.
