THE MAGIC of the cup was in Bardon Mill’s favour last weekend as they thrashed Riding Mill 8-1 to continue their impressive form.

Competing in the preliminary round of the Presidents Cup Bardon Mill Bowes Lyons continued their ruthless form to ease past the visitors.

A hattrick from Rob Hayes and goals from Wilkie, Kirky, Ollie Cartwright, Barker and Jamie Ellwood helped the Lyons race to victory.

But it was Mark Robson who secured the man of the match on the day.

It was three wins on the bounce for Prudhoe Halfway House as they travelled along to Heddon.

A close game in which both sides had plenty of possession and chances saw Prudhoe come away with the three points, winning 2-1.

Goals from Kieran Russel and Ste Forster helped earn the three points, while Danny Driver received the man of the match honours.
