A DOZEN youngsters from Tynedale RFC represented Northumberland U16 against neighbouring counties.
They took on teams from Durham and Cumbria at different venues over two days.
And Northumberland had a good success rate, winning three of four matches.
The 12 Tynedale players all played in two games each.
Scott Ferguson, who is a coach at Tynedale, said: βItβs a great feat to have so many lads from our club in the county squad, and they all made worthy contributions.β
The county matches took place at venues including Billingham and Rockliffe rugby clubs.
A lot of the U16s will move up a level next season, and will come into contention for the Tynedale Colts team, for players aged 17 and 18.
Last week, the Courant reported how 14 girls from Tynedale represented Northumberland in a one-day competition.
