RUNNERS from far and wide descended on Hexham Racecourse on Saturday for a popular mud run.
The annual Mad March Mare challenged participants to take on dozens of obstacles in water and woodland, including cargo nets, hay bails, and a tyre wall.
But our pictures show that despite cold wintry conditions, the mud run was a lot of fun for those who took part.
