Tynedale RFC has launched a new initiative aimed at increasing income.

In a detailed document published on the club’s website, Tynedale’s chairman of men’s rugby Mike Fieldhouse invited club members and the wider community to come up with fund-raising ideas to ensure the club has a prosperous future.

Fieldhouse called for more volunteers to get involved with general maintenance. He is also seeking expertise in administration and finance, secretarial assistance, marketing expertise, events management, and rugby team management.

He added: “This is to stimulate interest and assistance from club members and also the wider community to preserve Tynedale RFC and also to regenerate it.

“It’s important that we look at all aspects of the club and we would like to hear from you with ideas. Once we have suitable numbers, we will call a meeting of volunteers to discuss and evaluate ideas.”

Speaking about fund-raising, he added: “This can involve anyone and everyone with ideas however wacky or out of the box they may seem.”

Anyone interested in getting involved can contact the club’s committee, or Fieldhouse directly at mike.fieldhouse1@btinternet.com.
