WALLINGTON suffered a second successive defeat in Northern Alliance Premier Division.
The Greens lost 3-1 to Whitley Bay on Saturday at their Oakford Park Ground.
A goal from Richard Smith proved to be only a consolation for the side, which is based at Scots Gap. Kris Willis was named man of the match.
Wallington have a derby match to look forward to this weekend, when they travel to Ponteland United in another league encounter.
Northumberland FA Minor Cup
THE draw for the semi-finals of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup is set to be made today.
Two of the district’s Northern Alliance sides, Hexham and Haltwhistle Jubilee, will be in the hat.
Cramlington United will also feature in the draw, following their victory over Bedlington FC Seniors after extra time and penalties in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Jesmond defeated AFC Newbiggin 3-1 to secure their place in the semi-finals.
