Matty Lamb hopes to build on a successful 2019.
GOLFER Matty Lamb carded an outstanding seven-under par round of 65 in the second round of the Australian Amateur Championship.
It followed an opening round of 75 at Brisbane, and earned the Hexham Golf Club member a share for the lead after two rounds.
Last month, Lamb was named sportsman of the year at the Sport Tynedale Awards, where he also received the Tynedale Trophy for overall adult champion.
The tournament is set to run until Sunday.
