REIGNING champions Bardon Mill Bowes Lyons flexed their muscles to inflict a first league defeat on rivals Haltwhistle Railway.

Goals from Adam Walton, Rob Hayes and Mark Robson, and a man of the match display from Jordan Norris, saw Mill take all three points from their game with their west Tynedale rivals.

Jack Barker netted for Haltwhistle, who had Dion Parker impressing.

A treble from Ste Forster saw a Prudhoe Town side best served by Adam Bell claim all three points from their trip to Riding Mill.

The hosts started in a disastrous manner and had two men sent off within the opening 10 minutes. They had a goal from Luke Banks and a star display from Jordan Stothard as consolation.

Heddon St Andrew’s star man Dan Walker also hit a treble as he helped his side to a 3-3 draw at Hexham Phoenix.

Kurtis Harvey scored twice and Calum Armstrong once for Phoenix, who had Luke Parkinson starring.

Rikki Kent’s goals either side of a penalty from Mickley Social Club’s star man James Curry saw Crawcrook Fox and Hounds to a slender 2-1 victory. Ben Coulson was named man of the match for the visitors.

Hexhamshire ended Wark’s unbeaten start in Division Two as they returned from the North Tyne with a 2-0 victory.

Man of the match Matty Percival and Josh Maclennan got their goals, while Will Forsyth starred for Wark.

Haydon Bridge Social Club hit double figures at home to Hexham Hearts, with Kieran Robley scoring three and man of the match Aaron Hardy two.

They were joined on the scoresheet by Owen Hogg, Liam Crowe, Darren Dobson, Tom Anderson and Hal Hodkinson.

James Yeend was named man of the match for Hearts.

Crawcrook Social Club edged their derby with Crawcrook Rising Club by the odd goal in seven with thanks to two goals from Jack Henderson and one each from Liam Carrick and Calvin Payne.

For Sun, star man Connor Collins, David Wright and Ryan Lynch were on target.

Barrasford defeated Wylam Black Bull 5-3 with Marc Nixon registering twice, and man of the match Jamie Noutch, Robert Oliver and Neil McDonald also registering.

Jordan Phillips scored two and Sam Wilkinson one for Bull, who again had Matty Smith impressing most.

Ryton and Ponteland Cairn Group Hotel shared the spoils as they played out a 1-1 draw.

Nathan Reed registered and Kieron Priestley was man of the match for hosts Ryton, with Dan Brookwell scoring and Abtin Zafarani man of the match for Ponteland.
