CRAWCROOK Fox and Hounds lost ground at the top of Division One as they were thumped by Hexham Phoenix.

Hosts Hexham were in fine form as they fired home six times, man of the match Lewis Loughhead joined on the scoresheet by Luke Parkinson, Ewan Wishart, Brad Rowell, Calum Armstrong and Andy Crawford.

Bradley Carey got Crawcrook’s goal and was also named his side’s star player.

Crawcrook dropped one place to third as Haltwhistle Railway leapfrogged them into the runners-up spot following their comprehensive 7-3 victory at Mickley Social Club.

For Mickley, Stefan Rainbow, Michael Gahagan and Michael Gilroy netted, and Scott Fothergill was named star man.

Ashley Lally hit a hat-trick, with Paul Wilson, Billy Walton, Aaron Davidson and man of the match Jack Barker also netting.

Bardon Mill Bowes Lyons remain top dogs as a hat-trick from man of the match Thomas Wilkie helped them to a 4-0 victory at Prudhoe Town. Jack Currah got Mill’s other goal, while Adam Bell starred for Town.

Strikes from man of the match Dale Graham, Owen Graham, Phil Robinson and Joe Mack saw Riding Mill to three points as they defeated Heddon St Andrew’s 4-2.

Will Hedley and Dan Walker netted for Heddon, who were best served by Joe Walker.

Wark moved to within a point of the top of Division Two as the teams around them dropped points.

Goals from Will Forsyth, Jonny Herdman and Alex Wright, plus a man of the match display from Jack Darcy, saw Wark come from behind to defeat Wylam Black Bull 3-1. A Sam Beedle had given Wylam, best served by Matty Smith, a half time advantage.

League leaders Crawcrook Social Club went down 3-2 at Ponteland Cairn Group Hotel despite man of the match Jack Henderson and Calvin Payne registering. Ponteland netted through Shaun Henderson (2) and James Pattinson, while Michael Jobson was man of the match.

Third placed Ryton conceded at the death as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Crawcrook Rising Sun.

Goals from Dillon Swan and Carl Parry, and a star display from Jeb Atkinson, seemed to be enough for Ryton, but Crawcrook took a spoil of the points as Connor Collins and Andy Horne found the target. Andrew Wright was Sun’s star man.

A treble from man of the match Marc Nixon helped Barrasford to a 7-2 triumph at Hexham Hearts.

Neil McDonald scored twice and Sam Hardman and Hamish Forsyth once each. Nathan Kirk and Ryan Morris netted for Hearts, with Nathan Drury impressing.

A double from man of the match James Percival and a single from brother Matthew saw Hexhamshire to a 3-1 victory at Stamfordham United, who had man of the match Stu Henderson on target.

Haydon Bridge Social Club were denied a place in the semi-finals of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup as they went down 6-1 at Hazlerigg Victory.

Owen Hogg got their goal and goalkeeper Kieran MacMillan was named star man.
