IT is as you were in the Hexham and District Sunday League as the frosty weather wiped out the league’s entire programme.

Crawcrook Fox and Hounds, who are currently level on points with Division One leaders Bardon Mill, but lie second due to an inferior goal difference, had hoped to reclaim top spot as they were due to welcome division newcomers Riding Mill.

Third placed Haltwhistle Railway, currently a point behind both teams, also had their eye on pole position but were unable to get their home game with Prudhoe Town played. In the other scheduled fixture in the division, Hexham Phoenix were set to host bottom club Mickley Social Club.

The Division Two title race was put on a hold too.

Leaders Crawcrook Social Club hoped to get the better of hosts Wylam Black Bull, while second placed Wark were due at Crawcrook Rising Sun. Barrasford’s home game with Hexhamshire fell foul of the weather, as did the game between Hexham Hearts and Ponteland Cairn Group Hotel.

Ryton’s game with Stamfordham United and Heddon St Andrew’s match-up with Haydon Bridge Social Club, both in the cup, were postponed.
