A PHYSIOTHERAPIST who has worked with medal-winning Olympic athletes has been announced as a sponsor for the 2019 Sport Tynedale Awards.
Hexham-based Physio and Therapy, owned by Paul Hobrough, will sponsor five individual awards at the annual awards night on Sunday, December 15.
Edward Heslop, chairman of the Sport Tynedale Awards, said: “It’s one of the top businesses of its kind in the country and to have it in Hexham is great.
“Paul was very keen to get involved with the awards.”
As a result of the sponsorship, a cash prize will be awarded to the winners of the awards.
Edward added: “The cash prize will help the individuals receive grants and improve their progress in competing.”
A full shortlist of the Sport Tynedale Awards 2019 nominees will be available next week.
