HAYDON Bridge Social Club disposed of higher ranked opponents to make the quarter-finals of the Northumberland FA Sunday Minor Cup.

Goals from man of the match Owen Hogg and Harry Crowe, and an own goal, saw Hexham and District Sunday League Division Two side Bridge defeat Division One outfit Riding Mill 3-0, with Ian Rogerson impressing for Mill.

It was also the end of the road for three further Hexham teams with Division One's Mickley Social Club and Division Two teams Wark and Barrasford crashing out.

Mickley went down 7-2 at Blakelaw Social despite goals from Bryan Gilmore and Michael Gilroy, and a man of the match display from Conner Robertson.

Despite equalising in the final minute, Wark were eliminated as they lost 3-2 to an injury time winner at home to Fawdon Park. Liam Anderson and Will Forsyth got their goals, and Alex Wright was star man.

Barrasford lost 4-2 on their travels to Heaton Meadowfield, with Neil McDonald and Sam Hardman on target. Gary Nixon was named man of the match.

With a double from Matty Plummer and strikes from Jada James and Nathan Reed, Ryton maintained their unbeaten start to their Division Two campaign as they defeated Wylam Black Bull 4-1.

Sam Mannion registered and Matty Smith was man of the match for Bull, with Jeb Atkinson impressing for Ryton.

Leaders Crawcrook Social Club lost their unbeaten record as they went down 3-1 at home to Hexhamshire.

Man of the match Matty Percival, James Percival and Luke Winter netted for Shire, with Brennan Turner on target for Crawcrook who were best served by Micky Bilclough.

A hat-trick from man of the match Jordan Teasdale helped Hexham Hearts to a convincing 8-2 victory away to Stamfordham United.

Ryan Morris, Nathan Kirk, Nathan Drury, Dean Pattison and Callum Snowball also registered, with Liam Wilkinson hitting both goals for Stamfordham. Stu Henderson was named the hosts' man of the match.

Division One side Hexham Phoenix showed a ruthless streak as they defeated Division Two's Crawcrook Rising Sun 8-1 in the Pickworth Cup.

Kurtis Harvey scored twice and he was joined on the scoresheet by Luke Parkinson, Scott Robson, Calum Armstrong, Lewis Loughhead and Tony Lancaster, as well as an own goal. Brad Rowell starred.

For Sun, Connor Collins netted and Darren Hodgson was man of the match.
