THOUSANDS of runners took part in the Kielder Marathon as it marked a special milestone.
The event, billed as Britain's most beautiful marathon, took place for the 10th consecutive year, starting with the Kielder 10k, and the Run Bike Run, on Saturday.
The full marathon was keenly contested on Sunday, with local runners joined by participants from far and wide.
