HAYDON Bridge U8 got their season under way with a goal-leaden opening day.
They earned an impressive win over Corbridge as they kicked off the new campaign in the Tynedale Mini Soccer league.
And the side have been fuelled by the backing of the village’s Anchor Garage, who are sponsoring the team this season, and have supplied new kits.
Coach Paul Makepeace said: “Everyone at the football club would like to thank Martin and Simon Scudamore from the Anchor Garage for supporting the team this season.”
